Who would want it at that price? Loran A has long been a dead system. This
may be useful as a museum piece but of what practical use is it?

Subject: [ARC5] On eBay...Rarely Seen AN/APN-70 LORAN A Set

FWIW, a very rarely seen military LORAN A set is shown at:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/180865134168

It is the R-277/APN-70. It's what followed in the series of LORAN A
sets from AN/APN-4 to AN/APN-9 to AN/APN-9A to AN/APN-70.

It is often shown as part of the USAF aircraft installations of
the AN/ARC-21 (RT-128A/ARC-21, AM) or AN/ARC-65 (RT-400/ARC-65, USB),
plus AN/ARR-36 (R-224/ARR-36, auxiliary receiver).

The RT-128A, RT-400, R-224, and R-277 are all RCA sets in USAF service
beginning in the early 1950s.

Mike / KK5F
