[ARC5] Paypal Warning

Folks, I wanted to advise you of a recent experience I had on ebay.
We were moving our office and as a result needed a number of fairly short RJ-45 LAN cables. I ordered some in various lengths from a seller on ebay, Yallstock, from whom I had ordered some RJ-45 cables the previous week and been very pleased.
But while the transfer of funds out of my account took place the funds were somehow not accepted by the seller. After a week or so I asked the seller about this and they replied they knew nothing about it. By this time it was too late for use to use the cables so I went to Paypal, cancelled the transfer and told the seller to cancel the sale.
Well, the upshot is that I am now getting "unpaid item" notices from ebay and after providing them documentation on the attempted payment and spending time on the phone today with a person with a foreign accent and no obvious cognitive abilities, told them I was giving up. So I went back in and paid for the items I no longer needed - again.
And guess what - the payment transfer is hung up, just like last time. And the unpaid item cases have not been closed out.
So if you do buy anything on ebay I strongly recommend that you contact the seller and arrange for payment using some method other than Paypal. Trying to get them to correct their own problems is like negotiating with Skynet.
Wayne
