The M in a circle stamping indicated the unit was being placed in the 
A.R.C. "morgue." There may have been a lead item from each batch, 
therefore more than a single piece of a given frequency. There were some 
one-of-a-kind, never mass-produced items and test gear. When the Boonton 
plant was closed  in the 1980s those pieces were distributed, quite a 
few to the Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum. I went to Boonton 
with the NASM curator and persuaded him to take some. I took some and 
employees the rest. They are,therefore, as David has written, rare.
