Dave,
Thanks so much for the display! I really enjoyed discussing details with you during the event. The T-17 looked fantastic, as did everything else.

Subject: [ARC5] HamCom 2012 Plano, Texas WWII Aircraft Display
HamCom, the biggest hamfest in Texas is being held today
and tomorrow in Plano, Texas near Dallas.
I was asked by several of the local folks to put-on
another display of WWII Aircraft rigs like last year.
With great help from Mike Hanz and several other members,
especially those from Australia, the first day went very well.
Lots of interest and questions and swapping stories,
and sore feet LOL.
My daughter Amanda, like last year, is helping out.
The rigs on display this year are:
Collins ARC-2
MF 160-mtr Variant of AN/ARC-5
SCR-183 (only repeat from last year)
U.K. TR9D
Russian US-P
Australian AT5 / AR8
Japanese 94-5 (not aircraft, included for interest).
Here's some photos from Day 1:

More tomorrow.

p.s. Quite a few milradios present. Here's the best find
of the fest so far, grabbed before it was fairly uncovered
(alas, not by me!):
