I remember discussion of this but a while ago I could not find the  
instructions.  I seem to remember the use of some sort of rubber  
casting material that formed into the "good" section of wrinkle finish  
and set up or cured to form a permanent mold.

I've got a BC-348 and accompanying speaker that could use this  
technique.
