Thanks to Sean, KB0OVD, there is now have a manual for the Packard Bell 
Model K-1 dynamic microphone preamplifier posted on the docs page at 
http://aafradio.org/docs/docs.html  - bottom of the Manual Excerpts 
section.  It is larger than I recall it, but perhaps I'm thinking of the 
original 1944 Model K manual.
