That's interesting!  Of course, I'm not sure how confident I would be 
floating in the middle of the ocean after abandoning ship if I knew I 
had a life jacket full of milkweed pods...:-)

Presumably there was no tag on the jackets that identified material 
inside back then...heh, heh...
