[ARC5] Blackout ; Lend Lease and ARC-5's (OT)

My dad was an air raid warden in WWII, on Long Island. He tried to 
enforce the blackout, since being on the coast lights at night 
silhouetted  ships at a short way out at sea. The U-boats were doing 
great damage in 1942. I remember we had to paint over headlights and 
only use parking lights.
   as to camouflage - there were many instances of  manufacturing plants 
having roofs painted to resemble fields and orchards.  We were not 
entirely serene in our distance -
