just checked PA0SEs website for details on the lorenz LO6 K39 . it has regeneration of a very superior kind apparently .k stands for shortwave., and 39 for the year it was introduced. it weighs 1431 lb !   i never saw the ARC5 receivers, and only believed what i was told.   my ones will have to do though , i had a job gettinng those in good order. an old friend of mine who was a US marine pilot in ww2 was very pleased to see my ARC5 gear . he called it the old coffee grinder and said they were very good.
not like the T1115 used in our navy swordfish which amazingly crippled the bismark. one of the pilots on that do told me that if they could not see the ship they could not talk to it.they ackniowledged transmissions by switching the IFF on and off as requested. alan G4GEN
