Bill:
The P&H LA-400 was a commercial version of the amp that was first
published in an article in QST for June 1955, beginning on page 22.
It is entitled, "A 200-watt Grounded-grid Linear Amplifier".
There was a short follow-up "Stray" on how to modify the 1625s and
which ones were modifiable in Sept 1955 QST on page, 10.
They are pretty easy to build.
As I said in another post before I read yours, I have the CE-20A and
the "458" VFO which I have used in the past. I think **I** need an LA-
400 too. ;-)
