I already have a bunch of ARC-5 info that I've read, and quite a few of the
articles are by Dave Stinson.

I'm well aware of the condition of my unit and I have absolutely no
intention of butchering it.

The only mod I plan on doing is replacing the bathtub cap with a terminal
strip and 3 capacitors, being aware of Dave's comments about the
capacitance of the wires being part of the circuit.  This will be a
completely reversible mod.   I'll attempt to restuff the bathtub later.

I have two schematics for a power supply, but Dave's simple divider seem to
be the easiest so I'll probably go with that.

Thanks for the comments, and I'll probably be asking more "novice" ARC-5
questions as I go along.
