I don't have a TR9 - they are like the proverbial rocking horse droppings, 
at prices to match so you are very lucky!

However I am sure the screws will be BA sizes (British Association), which 
are not metric in the sense of the current range of metric sizes, but are 
indeed arguably metric in origin!
BA screw sizes were the norm on British electronic equipment at this time.
