For those who wish to build a transmitter that will meet the Antique Wireless
Association' rules for their Bruce Kelly 1929 event, the 865 is the least
expensive tube that was offered for sale in 1929 or earlier.
It is a good little tube.
The Bruce Kelly rules require both tubes and circuits for the transmitter that
were commonly available in 1929 or earlier.
My Bruce Kelly rig has a push-pull pair of 211s in a TNT circuit.
On the air, its signal quality cannot be told from a modern rice-burner.
