Not a spinner solution, but a lot of old radio & TV plastic knobs have the
same size 'spline' opening as these receivers. Think of the old quarter
inch shafts on old appliances with the spline teeth. My first BC-455B had a
small plastic or bakelite knob like this installed. Worked fine, just
required a lot of patience on that well-spread out dial. (o:

I've moved more toward finding and using the original cables and control
boxes, but there was a member on the milsurplus list some years back who
offered NIB surplus tuning knobs for $5 each, so I bought ten. The only
defect was that the little plastic sleeve was stuck in place on the spinner
shaft, no big deal. I've noticed that some ten years later all are loose
now, albeit split in most cases.

I cannot say Thank You enough to Steve for his efforts and bringing so many
of these obsolete connectors and other parts back to the surface for us to
have. Recently got the final connector for my ATC transmitter from him, the
dynamotor power connector. Now I just need a bit more of the 'time' stuff
mentioned as being lacking these days.
