[ARC5] T-19 Real World Antenna Matching Problem

As reported earlier,  I’m getting around 25 to 30 watts out of my T-19 into
a dummy load on 80M using about 200 pF of series capacitance.



My 80M antenna is an HF-2V vertical, and I use a Heathkit SA-2060A tuner to
get the SWR from 2.5:1 to under 1.3:1.



My plan was to set up the tuner for a good 50 ohm match, then connect the
T-19 via the 200 pF capacitor.



Nada.  Zero power out (well, maybe a few watts) and the inductance tuning
has no effect.



The T-19 should be seeing the same load from the tuner or the dummy load,
but is acting completely different.



I’ve tried bypassing the tuner and that doesn’t work either.



Ideas?
