I am curious as to what Naval aircraft this radio might have been used in? Did the Navy have "L-*" type planes?

I recently received this radio through the kindness
f one of our good members, and it's a pretty little set.
hotos, which don't do it justice,
've shamelessly (but with thanks) cribbed from:

On the slight chance that one of you has this unusual and
nteresting receiver on a shelf and wants to get it running,
rite me. I've just resurrected one and can likely save you
ome head-scratching. It's a "not-quite-a-clone" of the
CA AVR-20 receiver. The front panel graphics
nd Volume / LO source knobs are clearly derived
rom RCA AVR and SCR-288 patterns.
uning knob in the photo is unoriginal, but wear patterns
ndicate the same knob as used on the AVR-20
nd I've so replaced it.
O wiring and RF Amp tube type are different,
s is the power distribution and 6-Volt-only fil. wiring.
hree cap replacements, repair of the LO coil
nd tracing the weird power distribution and it's playing fine
n about 150 VDC B+.
'm thinking of pairing it either with an RCA AVT-111
not the -112; the earlier -111) or with one of
he little Ranger or Lear transmitters, which might
e more interesting.
f anyone wants more details on the set
nd it's resurrection, please write.
And has anyone ever heard of Oxford Tartak?
