     Same here, I have the same keyer and paddle. I've 
practiced with it but am still more comfortable with a bug. 
I suppose its because I learned to use a bug early and kept 
it up. Also, the HA-1 does not have all the gee-gaws on it 
that modern keyers do that allows it to fix bad timing so 
you really have to have some skill with it.
