i live abour a mile from the asphidistra broadcast station . this was used in ww2 not only for propaganda , but for jamming and confusing the luftwaffe . it was the most powerful; broadcast station in the world i believe. 
a great morale booster for a small boy intrerested in radio ! you could receive it on a pair og headphones a bit of wire , a pencil and a razor blade. alan G4GEN
