[ARC5] noise

hello guys, i used to operate collins 618T hf sets in aircraft for many years, and thought them superb. i still do. they did not seem at all noisy in the aircraft . a few years ago i got hold of a nice one, and obtained a 28V / 115V  400 hz inverter on ebay the set uses 28Vdc as well , so it all worked fine. 
one evening operating it was enough for me to realise that it was either a divorce or getting rid of the set ! on transmit it makes a noise like a jet starting up .incidentally , the inverters were used in fighters and other smaller aircraft, and were made in chyenne . there must be loads around. i got a lovely harris RF3200 to replace it.  alan G4GEN
