Before we went into jet aircraft, our outfit was flying Douglas B-26
aircraft. Two versions. One with 8 50 cal guns in nose, one with a glazed
bombardier's position and Norden sights. A few of our aircraft had APN -9
loran sets in them but I don't remember which versions did. Too long ago!
(Mid 1950's) I do remember killing time playing with the APN-9s in the
avionics shop and finally figuring out HOW to read the crazy way you read
the microseconds delay so that the chart would make sense!

Thinking more, it might have been LORAN-A on the Atlantic seabord flights,
possibly APN-9.
