[ARC5] Helping a newbie.

A friend here in Idaho contacted me the other day. He has a 1.5 - 3.0 
Mhz "ARC-5" receiver, which someone tried to modify at some time in 
the distant past. 

My friend wants to restore this receiver. One of his problems is that 
whoever tore into this receiver removed the audio output 
transformer,and the 12A6.

He would like to know what specific mods this thing underwent so he 
can reverse them.

I am asking him to send me photos from every possible angle.

However, in the meantime, I thought I would ask here if anyone knows 
what mods his receiver might have suffered.
