[ARC5] Carbon mic post

     My long piece on carbon mics was the result of a 
question cross-posted to several lists. I hit "reply all" 
and off it went!  Somehow I am not subscribed to this list; 
I am leaving it that way since I grew up with ARC-5 series 
equipment, much of which was about the only stuff cheap 
enough for a beginning ham of high-school age or less.
