Probably not the clearest or best terminology, Robert. Maybe ARC-5 vs
Command set style is better. Most noticeable differences are the
ridges around the tube compartment cover vs smooth/flat top on the
earlier style, and the red tuning tag on front vs none on the earlier
style. Dave has pointed out numerous examples of the later style when
they've shown up online.

My 'later' version is 2.1-3 mc and the older is  4-5.3 mc.

And, like Dave and probably many others, I will eventually get back to
finishing them up someday. Right after the RAX/ATC and RU/GF stations
and numerous other projects.
