By "coils" I assume your question pertains to the receiver, and you mean
the RF/mixer/osc coils in the 3-unit assembly inside the chassis, rather
than
the IFT's and BFO coil.
These 3 coils have no accessible adjustment screws when the set is upturned
on the bench, so it follows that they must have been pre-aligned, probably
in
some alignment jig at the factory.
There are of course 3 trimmer caps associated with the tuning gang that are
accessible through their holes in the aluminium enclosure when the
receiver's
top cover is removed. So my guess is that the coil assembly was pre-tuned at
the factory and later installed in the receiver, with final alignment being
done
by adjustment of the trimmers prior to fitting the top cover.

I haven't, but the receivers are so broad in the IF that they will almost
certainly work well without realignment.
As pointed out above, realignment after such a swap necessitates removal
of the top cover and adjustment of the 3 trimmers to not only peak up the
RF/mixer signal level but also to align the dial calibration (local
oscillator).
