I can now confirm the desired teransformer is a 1:1 for 6 VAC @ 800 to
2400 Hz.

Hi David,

Yes, that's the puppy. Sadly the one on eBay has been much abused.

However, it does have the transformer I posted about. If you look at the
6th pic, it's the square aluminum (?) can, just above the CRT socket.

If anybody is interested in everything but the transformer, please drop me
a note, off-list.

BTW, Tony Waller suggested the transformer mighjt not be a step-down, but
just a 1:1 isolation transformer.
