Further, I never heard of that particular mod having been done except in a 
3-6 or 6-9.1 MC receiver.  But as the 12A6 was removed (is it safe to assume 
he meant that the tube socket is gone?  Or did someone just rob the tube?), 
it would be a good guess that the remaining filaments were rewired for 14 
volts.
