RE: The cap suspension beads. They are not that hard to replace and if you  
go to a crafts store you may be able to find some tglass beads about the 
same  size as those used in the command set capacitors.  Just apply a gob of 
old  fashioned wax on each bead before trying to insert them. It's much 
easier if you  back off the two tension screws before you try this trick.  Insert 
the  single suspension ball in first and then insert the two others under 
the tension  screws.  once in place slowly adjust the tension screws until 
the two balls  are under tension and then check to see if the cap rotor and 
stator plates are  evenly spaced.  You will have to pull the variable caps to 
access the  tension screws with any ease. It's still better than junking the 
excellent  caps.
