[ARC5] BC-453 + Converter

Hello Joe,
I have an experimental circuit I use in the way you describe for 80m.
It will take me a day or so do dig it out.
The converter uses a crystal controlled local oscillator on 3200kHz to
receive 80m on 300 to 500kHz.
(Here in Oz, 80m only extends to 3700kHz.)
I found this cct is quite effective and very stable, when used in
conjunction with an ARA set.
I would say comparable with most modern sets.

Cannot help with an AGC cct.
The cct does not cover 40m, but could be extended with some thought.
