[ARC5] TCS Xtals

That makes a lot of sense - now I know why there are 3 prongs on the TCS
xtals.
Found the one I mentioned before:
QUARTZ CRYSTAL
CRYSTAL FREQ SERIAL NO.
1727.5 KC RW-14729
AXIS TYPE oC
A I - G 25
EQUIP MODEL OUTPUT FREQ
TCS 3000 KC
COLLINS RADIO COMPANY
The "Equip Model" labelling, here stamped "TCS," -- could possibly imply
that these type
xtals were also used in other gear and there might be some container box for
them,
not necessarily specific to the
TCS.
My xtal is exposed, open at the top -- can see there's an adjustable
pressure screw.
I will see if I can get it to oscillate.
(Here, [(1727.5 x 2) - 455(IF)] KC , yielding a 3000 KC receiver
frequency).
