Actually, all nonsense aside but based only on inspection of a number of
units so marked and not on any paper I hold, it may have involved the
installation of the four brass or phosphor bronze flexible grounding straps between
the rear of the chassis and the upper part of the dynamotor shock mounts.
If it involved any other changes, I never dug deeply enough to ID them. If
you have a BC-453-B marked M-1 and it does not have the ground straps, I will
add that I did inspect one out of several so marked that did not have the
straps but had marks or scuffs around screws or holes in the top of the
dynamotor deck from which I concluded it must have once had the straps.
