Huh?  There's so much pre-perverted equipment around, why doesn't he start
with them?  With that, I wonder how many flame-o-grams he's gotten for that
ad.  

Side note: Some of my "pervert or parts" equipment (i.e., that which, for
one reason or another, isn't practical to restore) will be further perverted
(or re-perverted) to try some of the better ideas.  At the moment, the only
two that come to mind that don't start "First, strip the chassis" (which I
don't consider conversions anyway) are the DSB conversion and the shortened
chassis all band VFO.  These also will use the 4-5.3 and 5.3-7 MC
transmitters so I can also see how they were moved in band - or, more
accurately, see how successful the changes were.  Moving a 2.1-3 MC Tx to
160m would be cool except I don't think I have one I can't restore.
