ELINT was one of the possibilities mentioned last Fall during the earlier
discussion. The problem is documentation or, more accurately, the lack
thereof which is making my research that much more difficult.
Occam's Razor doesn't always apply when it comes to war or the preparations
for it but the "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence" rule does.
There is always way too much buried that never comes to light and, in the
case of WW II, any existing documentation has long since been destroyed.
This leaves speculation and the occasional lively discussion.
