Or you might happen to have an old fashioned multi-winding 120-130V xfmr
with 12V & 200-300V c.t. windings and just
take your HV from either the full HV winding or the CT, depending on the HV
DC level, desired. Or, you may be using
a tube-style outboard converter, preamplifier, Q-multiplier from which you
can tap off your Command rcvr.
HV. Or, from the PA s.g. or osc. anode HV, if you're using a tube-style
xmtr. I tap HV for some of my Command receiver from the multiband tube
converter I operate in tandem with the receiver(s).
My model-train transformer 'backwards-fed' filament xfmr PS could be used
as a continuously variable HV soure if you want to check performance at
different HV levels.
