I've got an SCR-508. It is a very important WWII and Korean War radio set.
There's considerable technological history associated with the development
and use of the SCR-508, ugly though it is, operating on 20 to 28 MHz. (Two
BC-603 receivers are part of that system).
The artillery band version is the SCR-608. A SCR-628 (which uses only one
BC-683 receiver) went for $760 on ebay yesterday:

The only really hard and essential part to find is the radio mount FT-237.
A decent complete FT-237 such as was part of this auction is probably worth
about $400 just by itself.
There must have been some very surprising long-range contacts made during
sunspot cycle highs using these sets, especially the SCR-508/528.
