I have a couple of 85kc IFTs that don't have the usual socket on the base: instead, they have a thin ceramic base through which protrude connecting pins. The overall quality is, I think, higher than that of the R-23 and similar, so I wonder if these are from the later, loctal-tubed series? Part number: 12012 73, ian K3IMW
