Yes, I am aware of that. I am thinking that all the external series resistances 
(around 6K) and the bleeder will mitigate that problem. If I have a problem 
with spikes, there is information in my RSGB handbook on calculating and 
building simple RC spike snubbers I may use.

Well, I know they have improved since the last time **I** used them! ;-)
