[ARC5] RAX Receiver (and the GO that GOes with it)

Couple of thoughts on the RAX-1 and its brethren.

1. One feature of the RAX-1 setup, is that with three separate
receivers, and the Tel A, Tel B switching, allows for flexibility in
monitoring. This would depend on how the aircraft interphone
system is connected, however. This feature is built into the
ATA/ARA and SCR-274N, but it doesn't seem to have been
used in too many other radio sets.

2. The CG-46116 (1.5 to 9) receiver uses a 915 kc IF. As
does the BC-348, ARB(on the two higher ranges), and BC-652
receiver. Don't know what that signifies, but it is probably not
coincidence. (And I include the BC-224 in with the BC-348).

3. The dial calibration appears to be more accurate on the RAX
than the BC-348, but I don't know if the RAX sets just held
their factory calibration better over the years.

4. As an experiment couple of years ago, I tried using the number one
receiver as a
Q 5er for the number two receiver, and it worked, but since it wasn't
stock, didn't
leave it that way. (It was a no holes, no soldering experiment). I also
tried that
with the RBM pair many years ago, and again it worked, but it was a bit
clumsy.
