Have yet to power mine up, but they look like great receivers, Ken.
Like a band-switched ARC-5 receiver on steroids, if you will. Yes, a
bit larger and not something you'd expect to find in fighters or other
small aircraft, but a set of three would've been quite flexible in a
large bomber or patrol aircraft of the day.
I went from knowing zip about them not too many years ago to having
three nice examples, connectors, and a manual. Still need a few pieces
to complete the set, but it's getting there. They'll be paired with
the Collins ATC as shown in the PB4Y photos on Mike Hanz's fine

As much as I like the ARC-5 receivers and RU-16, the RAX-1 triplets
are simply uber cool to me.
