As you've stated, GO-9 seems to be the only version that has survived,
except for the fantastic restoration shown at:

GO-4/5/6(?): http://www.pbyrescue.com/cutaway/int7.htm
(For other photos of this project, see
  http://www.pbyrescue.com/cutaway/cutawaythumbs.htm )

Even though the web site text refers to the above pictured liaison transmitter
as a GO-9, it's NOT a GO-9.  Compare it to the GO-9 at Mike Hanz's site:

GO-9: http://aafradio.org/flightdeck/go9.htm

Definitely these are not the same. In fact, the manufacturer name at the
bottom of the two nomenclature plates is clearly two words that **could**
likely be "General Electric". If so, then this is a GO-4 (1938), GO-5 (1939),
or GO-6 (1939). Those were the only GOs made by General Electric, and the
only GOs that covered 26.5 MHz.  The Westinghouse GO-7 (1940), GO-8 (1940),
and GO-9 (1940) covered 18.1 MHz.

I have the manual for the GO-9. I'd love to have a manual, even a copy,
for the GE GO-4/5/6.

Just from analyzing contract year info (with the errors that can cause) a
quick association of liaison receiver to GO transmitter can be attempted.

The RU liaison version receivers were the RU-4/5/6/10/11/12/18/19.

CAY = Westinghouse
CBY = AircraftRadio Corporation
CG  = General Electric
CW  = Western Electric

Transmitter                                Latest Liaison Receivers

1940 GO-7 CAY .3 to .6, 3 to 18.1 MHz   -- RU-12 CBY .195 to 13.575 MHz
1940 GO-8 CAY .3 to .6, 3 to 18.1 MHz             ---OR---
1940 GO-9 CAY .3 to .6, 3 to 18.1 MHz      RU-12 CBY .195 to 13.575 MHz
                                             plus
                                           RAT-1 CBY 13.5 to 27.0 MHz
                                                  ---OR---
                                           RAV CBY .19 to 27.0 MHz
                                                  ---OR---
                                           RAX-1 CG  .20 to 27.0 MHz

GO-5 though GO-9 receiver models listed above assume 24-vdc installation.
For 12-vdc installations, substitute RU-11 for RU-12, RAT for RAT-1,
RAX for RAX-1.  GO-4 and earlier were 12-vdc installations.  (I know...the
GOs used mostly 800 cps AC, but not the associated receivers.)

Of course, earlier or later receivers could be paired with the associated
transmitter model during its use history. For example, data exists showing
the GO-9 paired with the RU-12, RU-18, RU-19, and RAX-1, and the rare
RAT/RAT-1 or RAV suggested would be a remote possibility.
