[ARC5] the age old battle of modify or sanctify

As it keeps coming up, I have to once again say that had it not been for  
hams scooping up all this wonderful old war materiel to either  pound these  
old Command Set "Swords" into useful Ham "Plowshares" or to rat pack them up 
for  later consumption, there would not be any of these old beasts around  
today to even argue about.  The history of this WWII stuff is  essentially a 
Ham Radio history and only incidentally a war materiel history  made 
possible by the processes noted above.
