[ARC5] SCR-A*-183 mixed systems

In looking for bitzenpieces for an SCR-A*-183, I find myself in a quandary,
that being that I won’t have everything from the same version. It will all
be compatible, that’s not an issue, but thus far I’ve found at Warbird
Parts* AN, AO, AR and I think AS transmitters & receivers. I have two BD-87
dynamotors I hope will work with any of them (It’s supposed to go with the
AE and AF versions.), a mixture of control boxes but thus far I’ve seen no
12v antenna relays or Tx mounts**. Oh, and I have absolutely no connectors
for either an SCR-A*-183 or a GF-11/RU-16. In the case of an SCR-A*-183,
I’ll be making a “manufacturer supplied” junction box so I’ll only need half
the normal complement of connectors.

* Jay also has some not so good BC-191/-375 tuning units at what should be
budgetable amounts. I need to get back with him as to how “not so good”
they are before I pick them up to strip.

** Please don’t suggest eBay. That is a non-starter for me and always has
been, at least for this project.

Given all of this, what can I get away with mixing with what and remain
within the realm of something that could have been found in a war
“experienced” airplane? Also, once I can find the boxes, what are the
chances of doing a little equine exchange (hoss tradin’, for those who
prefer the traditional version) to make a complete SCR-A*-183 system and/or
a GF-11/RU-16? Off the top of my fat bald head, I remember two 24v antenna
relays, one good and one not so good, and an extra control box of some order
or another.

There is also some Type K-derived equipment and some Type 12 pieces that
will wind up “surplus to my needs” although I don’t have a complete
inventory to say what or what condition it’s in. Again, this depends on my
being able to get to the shelves and that won’t happen until I can realign
my budget to allow for a larger unit so I can organize better. Please note
that the word “organization” and I are rarely on speaking terms. :-)

Best regards,
