[ARC5] Bit of SCR-183 trivia

Just received an Air Corps training manual for
the SCR-AG-183, dated Feb 15, 1939.

In it is the following:

".....   you will also find Coil Set, type C-168,
(which is not part of the set), but is supplied for
student use because more stations are available within
its frequency range. Install this coil set, tune in various
broadcasting stations.......
You will be able to get a better idea of A.V.C. and M.V.C.
operation on these frequencies."

I just thought the fact that broadcast band coil sets were
procured for training use was interesting.


Anyone ever see a broadcast band coil set for an SCR-183 or -283?
