[ARC5] BC-453 Mods

I was given a nice working BC-453B that had the BFO coil & circuit removed to make way for the addition of an AFG pot, noise limiter using a 1N34, and using the triode section of the 12SR7 as the first audio amp.  The SK apparently got the circuit  from Surplus Radio Conversion Manual Vol. 2 Pg 5-11. 

 I'd like to keep the AFG pot and the audio changes and then reinstall the BFO coil circuit by using a small triode (ie 6C4 or so) or a SS circuit. 

 Would be interested in your comments if you  have attempted such an installation.
