I read some time back that when the C-47 landed next to the B-24 with the USAF team to examine the Lady Be Good that one of the radios in the aircraft failed and was replaced with one out of the B-24. And it worked perfectly.
The article described the raido that was replaced with one from the B-24 as an ARC-1. That seems to be very unlikely. They probably meant to print "ARC-5" and were in reality describing an SCR-274-N.
Legend has it that every aircraft that used parts salvaged from the Lady Be Good later crashed.
