[ARC5] 12A6 VS ?

6K6.  The 6V6 draws too much filament current.  Plus the amp 
characteristics of the 6K6 are substantially the same as those of the 12A6, and those of 
the 6V6 aren't close.

The 6SQ7 diodes are the same as those in the 6SR7.  The triode sections, 
however, are dissimilar.  The 6SR7 is a Medium Mu triode whereas the 6SQ7 is a 
High Mu.  So the BFO may or may not work.  But you won't hurt anything 
trying it.  I never did as I didn't know that there was a shortage of 6SR7's.
