Ken,

The manual on GF-11 and RU-16 (the associated receiving set) is NAVAER
08-5Q-100. I offer a hard copy reprint for $24.50 plus $3.50 shipping CONUS.

GF-11/RU-16 were used by the Marines. The sets were installed in tanks,
halftracks and presumably other 12 volt vehicles. I don't have any hard
evidence one way or the other about aircraft installations, but there probably
were a few. However GF-12/RU-17 were 24 volt so probably most of them went to
aircraft.
