[ARC5] [Milsurplus] SCR-274N in B-25

Sorry for the slow response.
Here is a shot of the SCR-274N installed in a restored B-25J named Betty's
Dream. It was restored by the B-25 experts at Aero Trader in Chino, CA. Even
though the racks were built from scratch they used the blueprints and
original parts for reference. This is about as accurate a reproduction as is
possible.

In the J model the command set was installed just behind the pilot on the
left side of the aircraft. The radio operator was aft of the bomb bay and
had a table with the BC-375 and BC-348. I find it interesting that he had no
control over the command set unless he crawled over the top of the bomb bay
and used the pilot's controls.

The movie Memphis Belle shows a reasonably good front view
of about three Command radios (receivers from memory).
The camera doesn't exactly focus on them, but they're in plain
view during one long sequence. They're mounted on a shelf at
what appeared to be an unrealistic position on the left side of
the aircraft, ie. to right of screen with camera looking aft.
