Hello John,

Yes, they usually can't compare with Stephen King or even Faulkner -- Pogo
and Snoopy are more my style. Forgot to mention Millman-Halkias,"Integrated
Electronic" which I found not very enlightening. I wonder if Dennis would
agree with me on this.
Unfortunately, digital electronics makes me think of chopped sausages -- but
where would my PC be if not for logic gates and tamed pulses.
The othere day. all my incoming mails from August deleted after I compacted
my mails - never happened before or since. Don't like just having to trust
insect-like little chips and then to just hope for the best.
Still remember my first (Raytheon?) CK722's; $1.50 - $2.50, a lot for a kid
then -- one wrong move and bye-bye and on the train again to Cortland Street
or Radio Shack, same travel time!
At least tubes usually gave you some kind of warning and a chance to back
off . In some ways I'm a diehard reactionary ;0).

John Kraus's books on antennas and magnets would be nice to have -- maybe
I could get them on E-Bay --no success in finding them here,
except in the science library.

If anyone on this thread would like to sell a copy of Kraus, I'm interested!

My off list mails to you consistently bounce. Re that time I complied with
your request to stay off list but my mail came on list anyway. I don't have
this problem with other addresses than yours. Are u sure you don't have me
on a blocking/filter list ?--
inadvertently, I assume

Henry
