Hello Niel,
What I mean is that you have a 'natural' ruler with you when it comes to
inches, feet, yards ; namely,
your own body! I believe these units were based on King John's measurements,
used as basis.
I find converting areas and volumes to be a nuisance. Not to mention gms to
and from ounces when sending letters.
Too bad you can't put up an antenna. No chance of a stealth / thin guage or
drain pipe/rain gutter lash up/ short removable window flagpole?
Not the best DX antennas by a long shot.
But if you don't have cable you'd probably have TVI problems that way.
Best wishes,
Henry
