With the BC-4xx and R-xx series going for this price there will always be a motive to preserve them.  I'm glad I bought the few sets I have some time ago.  However, few sets sell at this price; few are in this condition.  Postal charges/freight is the main thing that stops me from buying.

My sets are NOT in this condition,  but every set I bought was in a repairable condition, so I'm pleased to own a few operating sets.  (I've even designed a circuit to allow me to listen to the broadcast band on a humble R-23/BC-453.  3 JFETS so the job nicely.
